Have you ever searched for a host to host your website for free? Well then you know that there are a lot of such providers. The problem is that it is very hard to find a good provider.

I've searched the net and opinions and such articles and found a list with which I agree mostly because I tried and some of these providers and I was very pleased (of course I had just about test sites for a month or two to see how it behaves).

To create this list was used several criteria which. What I can say is that I personally liked the list but not necessarily the order but that's just my opinion. If you have any option you please share them.

To see first-out criteria:

-Should you really need to install wordpress (so must have Fantastico or elephants, usually)

-Must have access to a control panel for efficient management

-The latest version of MySQL or PHP

-FTP access to upload and delete files

-And of course you must be able to host the your own domain (such as fields. CO.CC domain or other personal)

Must be considered before listing providers that if you need more hard drive space, higher bandwidth, access to support services would be best to use a paid ISP.

To install WordPress in the first place you need a host and a domain (free or paid). You can install WordPress on almost any kind of host as long as it supports MySQL and PHP.
Step 1.

You create a free account http://www.0fees.net/signup.php entering all your details correctly.

Step 2.

Check your e-mail you will receive an email with all your data connection to your host.

Step 3.

To connect the platform to install wordpress and you need a manager (FTP FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol). The simplest and most readily available that I use it is Filezilla, you can download here. http://filezilla-project.org/download.php

Step 4.

After you open it and add filezilla installed your new data connection you have received e-mail. ADDRESS FTP (FTP address), username (username) and password.

Step 5.

Download http://wordpress.org/download/ wordpress platform.

Step 6.

After downloading wordpress and you are connected to host your wordpress you copy files from the archive on your site. WARNING! If hosting is particularly 0fees.net when connecting to the FTP server you will see a directory and a file (DO NOT UPLOAD FILES HERE - do not upload files here), you will upload files to that folder.

Step 7.

Www.0fees.net log on and create a new database for your website.

Step 8 - and last.

After you have created database access provided by 0fees.net address or domain that you own it and follow the instructions provided by Wordpress.

I like to say something here about free domain names. When I first start building free hosting websites I was wondering about free domain names. I wont to have a free domain name in the same way I have these free hosting websites so I search and I search for free domain names. In this post I will talk about just one site that offers free domain names.

If you want that your free hosting website to have a free domain name is easy. I mean your site will be www.yoursitename.something. My big question was what is that dot something, I don't care if that free domain name is not a dot.com or dot.net or dot.org, I want a short url and not something like tinyurl or something else (I will also make here a post about tinyurl too).

For free domain names I found dot.tk. What is dot.tk? Dot.tk is a website that helps you a lot if you want a free domain name. How? By offering you a dot.tk domain (www.yoursitename.tk) for free, 100% free. What you have to do is easy you have to make a account on this free domain website. The registration it takes maximum one minute. After that you will enter your free hosting website name ( something like www.yoursitename.free_hoting_website_name.com, I mean that long url) and you will choose for free your domain name.

Your free domain name that you choose here could be different from your originaly free hosting website name. I mean for example if you have www.free-hosting-2010.blogspot.com you can turn this blog (that long url) into something short like www.hostingfree.tk. Of course tk free domains are limited, I mean you can't take a free domain name that is already taken, but remember your imagination is the limit.

Maybe you wonder what will happen with your initial url ? Well your initial url is there too, your initial url and your whole free hosting website is at the same url this means that you can access your free hosting website in two ways : one with your old url (free hosting website url) and two with your new domain name dot.tk


Having a free short domain name have many advantages, for example is much much easy to tell your friend about it and much easy for others to remember your website name. In this post I like to say something about free hosting using blogger platform. Blogger.com is another free hosting website that you should know something about it. Blogger is created by Google for free hosting blogs, this make from blogger one of the best free hosting website on the internet. Why? Let me be more detailed about this opinion.

First of all now you are looking at a blog a free blog, second having a free hosting blog on blogger platform you will have advantage of a high page rank (I will make another post to explain everything about page rank, how page rank is calculated and so on).

I see some free hosting blogs with only 5 posts having a very very good position in the results of search engines. Of course this free hosting websites were very good optimized for search engines.

Some SEO experts say something like "You have to make 10-15 posts on your free hosting website and then you should publish all of them, because in this way your free hosting blog will be strong from the start" I'm not agree with this information because I test this and I have a blog with only one post 100% original content ( avoid, and I repeat avoid duplicate content) that is NO1 in Google for 3 words "Indicatori Forex Trading" can you believe it :).
